Babar Azam impressed with his 196-run knockout against Australia in the second Test against Australia on Wednesday at the National Stadium, Karachi. This knock helped Pakistan walk away with a draw and Australia was left shocked after failing to take ten wickets even after setting a 506-run goal. Former England skipper Michael Vaughan took note of this performance and praised Babar with high praise.
Vaughan labeled Babar the best all-format hitter in the world. On Twitter, Vaughan wrote: “Without a doubt I think @babarazam258 is currently the best all-around batter in the world.. Brilliant in all formats.. #PAKvAUS,” Vaughan tweeted.

Australia and Pakistan played an exciting draw and on Day 5, Babar Azam recorded the highest score by a captain in the fourth innings of a Test. Azam’s 196-run knockout has really kept Pakistan in the series standing at 0-0 with the decider set to be played in Lahore on March 21.
Babar scored 196 from 425 balls using 21 fours and one six. The righthanded batter was sent back to the pavilion by Nathan Lyon in the 160th left of the innings. On the final day of the game, Babar surpassed Younis Khan to set the highest score by a Pakistani player in the fourth innings of a Test.

The right-hander also brought in a captain’s highest score in the 4th innings of a Test and along the way became the first Pakistani player to make more than 400 deliveries in the fourth and final innings of a Test.
Pakistan found themselves 21/2 chasing 506, but Babar along with Abdullah Shafique set up 228 runs for the third wicket and the momentum was swung away from Australia.
