Harpreet Brar, who played for Punjab Kings (PBKS) during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, caught the eye after taking the wickets of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell in a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) during the India stage of the tournament. The all-rounder, who was not held by PBKS prior to the mega IPL auction, has gone viral again, but this time for his off-field antics. Brar shared a unique selfie with American pop star Ariana Grande.
What’s unique about the photo, however, is that Brar was not with Grande in person, but clicked the “selfie” when she appeared on television.
On Twitter, Brar captioned the photo: “Selfie with @ArianaGrande”.

After noticing Brar’s post, fans flooded the comment section with hilarious memes.
Even former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and Brar’s former PBKS team-mate Mandeep Singh couldn’t resist commenting on the Moga-born cricketer’s post.

Both Harpreet Brar and Mandeep Singh were not detained by the PBKS. Even star batter KL Rahul was unloaded by PBKS, retaining only Mayank Agarwal and unbounded pacer Arshdeep Singh.

The IPL retention process is over and the eight existing IPL teams have had their pick. All the big names are kept, but some non-held players can cause a bidding war during the mega auction.
The two newly added franchises – Lucknow and Ahmedabad – will each be able to field three players ahead of the mega sale, which is likely to be held in the first week of January 2022.
