Cryptocurrency Price Today: The global cryptocurrency market on Wednesday, June 22, remained volatile as investors failed to see any new triggers to boost their confidence. After a day of rally, the crypto market cap saw a slight drop in its value as traders sought to profit rather than think long-term amid the prevailing sell-off. Global cryptocurrency market cap fell 3.69 percent in the past 24 hours on Wednesday to $890.70 billion at the time of writing this article, according to data.
“The current rally may not bring the bulls back to market due to fears of a recession looming in financial markets. Investor interest in tech stocks and technology-based crypto assets has swept away as macroeconomic conditions remain unfavorable. The Fed’s aggressive stance will keep investors on their toes in the coming weeks,” said Tarusha Mittal, COO and co-founder of Unifarm, a group betting platform.
Bitcoin prices remained at the $20,000 level on Wednesday. Today’s Bitcoin price stood at $20,108.32 at the time of writing this article, down 4.70 percent in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, Ether price was down 6.20 percent today to $1,076.72 at the time of writing this article.
“Bitcoin stayed just below the $21K level after recovering from a dip below the $18K mark. Interestingly, this minor recovery has rekindled people’s interest in Bitcoin as searches for the token hit a 12-month high. The daily trend for Bitcoin continues within a bearish channel pattern that is seemingly reflecting support levels. The next major support for Bitcoin is expected at $14,000. The daily RSI bounced back above the 25 level and still remained in the oversold zone,” the WazirX trading desk said.
“The crypto market had a promising start to the week as most crypto assets traded in the green. The total crypto market cap is approaching $1 trillion and currently stands at $930 billion. Ether was up more than 4% and hovering around $1200. The meme coin space also witnessed a sharp uptrend as $DOGE and $SHIB rose 14% and 40% respectively,” added Mittal.
