Cryptocurrency Price Today: The cryptocurrency market extended the previous day’s losses on Tuesday, June 28, and fell further after being in the green for a few days. Bitcoin lost its $21,000 again as its value fell in the past 24 hours. The overall loss suffered by major cryptocurrencies over the past day also caused the global cryptocurrency market to plummet as markets’ volatility continued amid fears of entering the crypto winter with investors not enthusiasm to invest in digital assets. The global cryptocurrency market cap dropped sharply below $950 million on Tuesday, standing at $940.81 billion at the time of writing this article, according to the data. This was a decrease of 2.06 percent from the previous day.
Bitcoin price fell slightly on the day to get below $21,000 but stayed comfortably within $20,000. At the time of writing this article, Bitcoin price today stood at $20,882.98 according to data from CoinMarketCap.com. This was down from 2.31 percent in the past 24 hours and 1.46 percent in the past seven days, the data shows. Bitcoin has been hovering between $20,000 to $22,000 for several days now, after recovering from the $18,000 levels.
“Bitcoin dipped slightly below the USD 21K level yesterday. Trading volumes indicated a sell-off in recent days. Meanwhile, institutional investors withdrew more than $450 million worth of BTC in the past week, Coinshares reported. This outflow of resources could mean another price drop. The daily trend for Bitcoin continues within a bearish channel pattern. The next major support is expected at $14,000,” the WazirX trading desk said in a note to news18.com.
Meanwhile, however, Ether price was slightly down 1.74 percent today, to $1,206.07 as of the writing of this article. Solana and Dogecoin lost up to about 7 percent over the day, while another cryptocurrency, Startis, gained more than 90 percent.
“Stratis (STRAX), a blockchain development platform, is up more than 90 percent in the last 24 hours, significantly outperforming the general crypto markets. Interestingly, the demand for Smart Contacts and Blockchain programming platforms has increased multiple-fold lately,” said the WazirX trading desk.
