Cryptocurrency Price Today: The global cryptocurrency market on Monday, June 6, showed positive signs after Bitcoin closed green after nine consecutive weeks of tracking losses during the close. The cryptocurrency market on the day started green, after flat the day before, and is up 3.99 percent in the past 24 hours. According to data, the global crypto market cap was $1.28 trillion at the time of writing this article, with experts saying buyers are still on the bearish side.
Bitcoin finally crossed the $31,000 levels, after being below S30,000 for days. Today’s Bitcoin price stood at $31,150.14 at the time of writing this article. This was a 4.57 percent gain over the past 24 hours.
Bitcoin finally ended the week in the green after closing 9 consecutive weeks lower. BTC is up more than 3% since last night, to above $31,000. The hourly trend for Bitcoin has broken above the triangle pattern. The next resistance for BTC is expected at $40,000 and an immediate support is expected at $26,800. However, market sentiment remains grimly hovering in the “extreme fear zone,” the WazirX Trade desk said.
“Over the past few weeks, we have also seen bitcoin’s dominance increase. Usually alts in bearish markets underperform BTC because they have a higher risk profile. The risk-off approach means investors are currently staying away from risky investments,” said Darshan Bathija, Vauld CEO and co-founder.
The Ethereum price was still below $1,900 today, but gained 4.17 percent in the past 24 hours to reach $1,871.74 per unit at the time of writing this article. After a weekend of underperformance, Solana and Cardano, among others, altcoins gained more than 7 percent each.
“Ethereum versus Bitcoin has remained fairly neutral over the past week, although Bitcoin’s dominance index has continued to hit new highs in more than 7 months. The Ethereum price has been positive for the past two days. According to Glassnode, the Total Value Staked In ETH 2.0 Deposit contract has risen to new highs as the Ethereum Merge approaches its date. The daily chart for ETH-BTC continues to move within a bearish channel pattern. The next support for ETH-BTC is expected at the 0.055 level,” noted the WazirX Trade Desk.
