Cryptocurrency Price Today: Even after weeks of the precipitous plunge the cryptocurrency market has faced, cryptocurrency prices did not appear to be moving up by large margins as they remained flat for days. On Thursday, May 26, the global cryptocurrency market also remained flat, but in the red, as it fell slightly in the past 24 hours. The negative sentiment in the global crypto market mirrors that of the stock markets, which have been hit for a variety of reasons, including inflation. The global cryptocurrency market fell 1.62 percent in the past day, valued at $1.25 trillion, according to data.
Bitcoin price was once again below the $30,000 levels today. Today’s Bitcoin price stood at $29,675.87 at the time of writing this article, which has fallen 0.26 percent in the past 24 hours.
Bitcoin has remained fairly neutral for the past day with no significant movement. Sentiment in the crypto market remained in the zone of “extreme fear”. However, trading volumes on exchanges have increased over the past few weeks or so. On the hourly timeframe, the BTC trend continues to move within a triangle pattern. The next resistance for Bitcoin is expected at $40,000 and an immediate support is expected at $24,000,” the WazirX trading desk said.
“BTC continued to show little volatility and largely moved sideways. The price was less than $30,000,” said Darshan Bathija, Vauld CEO and co-founder.
“Social sentiment is considered to be directly proportional to price. An increase in social media content related to cryptocurrency generally leads traders and investors to rush to buy cryptos, which in turn leads to a jump in prices,” added the WazirX trading desk.
Meanwhile, the Ether price also crashed to $1,923.06 today while writing this article. This was a drop of 2.88 percent in the past 24 hours.
“ETH traded below the USD 2000 level. The ETH Merger – Ethereum’s transition from POW to POS is likely to happen in August. Optimistic sentiment about the merger’s price impact is likely to be dampened by increased macroeconomic conditions,” Bathija said.
