The Carnegie Deli, a New York legend that opened in 1937 and closed in 2016, has shipped its corned beef, pastrami, and a few other items from its bakery. Now Murray’s Cheese Shop has taken over, selling the restaurant’s meats and cinnamon and chocolate babkas in its three stores and online for shipping. Meat comes in sliced 12-ounce portions, ready to warm up for two sandwiches (enough for one sandwich if you’re a fresser like Mel Brooks).
Carnegie Deli pastrami, corned beef, 12 US $28; Carnegie Deli cinnamon or chocolate babkas, $20, plus shipping, Murray’s Cheese Shop stores, murrayscheese.com.
