Beginning the new National Geographic Documentary Films and Imagine Documentaries film “We Feed People” about World Central Kitchen, Chef José Andrés’ disaster relief agency, Mr. Andrés combined his approach: ‘I see opportunities where others see chaos.’ The Spanish-born chef started the nonprofit in rapid response to the 2010 earthquake that devastated Haiti. The film, directed by Ron Howard, describes how after other disasters, such as Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico in 2017, and floods, volcanic eruptions and fires elsewhere, volunteers show up and figure out how to cook for tens of thousands of people. The organization has already served more than 70 million meals. The biography of Mr. Andrés is walking through each other. The film runs for about 90 minutes and ends before World Central Kitchen’s humanitarian efforts in Ukraine’s war zone can be filmed.
“We Feed People” on Disney+ starting Friday.
