BSE (formerly Bombay Stock Exchange) announced on Tuesday that it has approved the appointment of public interest director SS Mundra as chairman of the company’s board of directors. SS Mundra retired as Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India on July 30, 2017, after a three-year term. He previously held the last position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Baroda, from which he stepped down in July 2014. However, the appointment is subject to approval by market regulator SEBI.
