Distributing Shares: As earnings season for the fourth quarter of 2023 begins, companies are all set to declare the final dividend of the fiscal year. Elantas Beck India Ltd, Stovec Industries Ltd, Castrol India, Crisil Ltd, Embassy Office Parks REIT, will be trading ex-dividend this week in relation to the interim dividends announced by the companies.
What is an ex-dividend date?
The ex-dividend date is when the price of a company’s stock is adjusted for the dividend payment. It is one or two business days before the registration date. All shareholders whose names appear on the Company’s list at the end of the record date are eligible for dividend distribution.
Castrol India Limited
Castrol India Ltd is a popular lubricating oil brand, with a market capitalization of Rs 11,454 crores. The company is yet to release its Q4 FY23 earnings report which is expected to be released on May 9, 2023 and has a profit of Rs 815.15 crores (TTM) on revenue of Rs 4,841.54 crores in the same period. The company has announced an interim dividend of Rs 3.5 per share. The stock will trade ex-dividend on May 4, 2023. The company has also set May 4, 2023 as the record date for the distribution of the dividend.
In the past year, Castrol India has announced a dividend of 130 per cent, amounting to Rs 6.5 per share. At the current share price, this yields a dividend yield of 5.42 percent.
Crisil Ltd
CRISIL Limited, the shares will become ex-date on May 4 for an interim dividend of Rs 7 per share. The registration date is also May 4.
Embassy Office Parks REIT
Embassy Office Parks REIT shares become ex-dividend on May 4. The company has announced to pay Rs 2.81 dividend per share. The registration date is May 6.
Elantas Beck India Ltd
The company has announced an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share. The stock will trade ex-dividend on May 2, 2023.
