Handy futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 93 points, or 0.57 percent higher at 16,269, indicating Dalal Street was off to a positive start on Friday. In the previous session, the benchmark BSE Sensex finished 503.27 points, or 0.94 percent, higher at 54,252.53 and NSE Nifty 50 closed 144.40 points, or 0.90 percent higher at 16,170.20. “Market witnessed a relief rally after 3 days of correction, with Nifty ending the session near the high of the day. Also, short coverage on monthly FNO expiration helped the market recover. Nifty now needs to stay above the 16061 zones for an upward move to the 16400 and 16500 levels,” said Siddhartha Khemka, Head – Retail Research, Motilal Oswal Financial Services.
