12 students test Covid-19 positive at IIT Madras

As many as 12 students have tested positive for coronavirus at IIT Madras. Previously, three students tested positive after which samples were collected from more students with mild symptoms. According to reports, the toll has been increased to 12. An official confirmation is expected soon.

This comes at a time when more than 1,000 cases of Covid-19 have been discovered in the national capital Delhi in a single day. It is suspected that a new variant of Omicron could be launched in Delhi. Since the beginning of April, India has registered a daily increase in the number of Covi-19 cases.
