As many as 58 students at a government school in this district became ill after a midday meal, education officials said Thursday. The incident took place on Wednesday in the village of Amingadh in Maski Taluk, where 35 girls and 23 boys were hospitalized with complaints of abdominal pain and vomiting, officials said. “Only three had the problem and others were stable. But out of panic, they too were admitted. They are now under observation,” the officer said. An investigation into the matter has been launched, he added.
