Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan told the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that all open vacancies, including for the reserved category, will be filled in several central universities in the next 12-18 months. Many vacancies have been reserved for disadvantaged groups in society, he said during a discussion about the bill (Central Universities amendment proposal).
Efforts are underway to fill all open positions reserved for SC/ST/OBC and economically weaker section (EWS) in the central universities, he said. A special action has been taken and the recruitment will take place in mission mode, he said, adding that open positions would be filled in the next year and a half.
