The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is expected to announce the results of the Higher Secondary (HS) exams soon. After the release of these results, students can access and download their class 12 grade sheets for 2023 at the official websites ahsec.assam.gov.in and resultsassam.nic.in. In order to achieve their class 12th scores, students must provide their credentials, including their roll number and a security code. Looking at last year’s declaration patterns, the exam results of the Assam board will be revealed at a press conference.
The Class 12 exams in Assam took place between February 20 and March 20. The exams were organized by AHSEC and conducted in two shifts. The first shift was scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the second shift from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
However, it has come to the attention of the State Minister of Education, Ranoj Pegu, that a circulating message regarding the date of class 12th results declaration is fraudulent. The falsified notice claims that the results of the HS final exam will be announced today, May 22, 2023. The official date and time of the statement of results will be exclusively announced by the Board on its official website. In light of this situation, the education minister urges students to exercise caution and not believe or spread such misleading information.
Meanwhile, the Assam Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) has released the results of the Assam High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) for 2023. The overall pass rate for the HSLC exams is 72.69 per cent, with 301,880 of the 415,324 students having passed the Successfully passed SEBA HSLC exams.
When looking at the pass rates by gender, boys outperformed girls this year, with a pass rate of 74.71 percent. On the other hand, girls achieved an overall pass rate of 70.96 percent. This year there were instances of leaked HSLC class 10 papers leading to their cancellation the day before the exams. This incident caused anger among students and parents and had a negative impact on SEBA’s reputation. Class 10 English and General Science exams have been leaked and moved to the current academic year.
