Meanwhile, Chief Minister of State Himanta Biswa Sarma also condemned the rumors of the geography exam paper leak. Sarma took to his social media and tweeted that the issue of fake news reports will be handled by the Assam police.
“It appears that certain groups of people are trying to disrupt the whole atmosphere by fabricating false leaks from the High School Leaving Certificate exam papers,” Sarma’s message read. He also said that the Assam police will investigate the matter to establish the identity of the groups or individuals involved and take appropriate action.
According to a report from Hindustan Times, Assam education minister stated on Saturday that the photos of Assam Class 10 or HSLC Geography paper being distributed on social media are from year 2021 and not photo of board exam 2023 paper. He also confirmed that this year’s paper has not been leaked, according to reports.
The government of Assam is currently investigating all the suspects involved in the paper leak this year after two grade 10 paper leaks occurred.
Days ago, the General Science exam for class 10 was canceled by the SEBA after it came to light that the General Science questionnaires on WhatsApp were being sold for up to Rs 3,000. Earlier, the Assam board had also canceled Assamese paper for the same reason.
According to the official SEBA HSLC timetable, the geography exam is scheduled for today, March 20.
