IAS Mansi got AIR 627 in UPSC.
Mansi left MBBS after learning about her father’s dream. Her father could not prepare for UPSC in his years due to circumstances in his family.
The UPSC civil service exam is one of the most coveted government exams in India. The candidates require intensive preparation to complete this exam. Many of them manage to pass this exam despite the many challenges. An example of this is Mansi Narendra Sonawane. IAS Mansi, who hails from Aurangabad, Maharashtra, cleared the exam in 2021 and secured a 627 AIR (All India Rank). Mansi chose to fulfill her father Narendra Sonwane’s dream of becoming an IAS who is an accountant by profession. Her father could not prepare for the exams in his years due to the circumstances in his family.
Mansi completed her graduation from Government College of Science, Aurangabad. She also cleared the medical entrance exam, NEET after her class 12 boards and planned to pursue MBBS but after hearing about her father’s unfulfilled dream, she decided to leave MBBS and take admission in BA and started they prepare for UPSC. She passed the exam on her third attempt.
While speaking to Free Press Journal, Mansi shared her preparation timeline for the exam. She said that in the first year, she spent some time learning about the exam and the UPSC exam process. She initially started with the NCERT books and then moved on to the reference books.
Mansi attempted the exam for the first time soon after her graduation, which she gave for comprehension of the exam. On the second attempt, she could not get on the list because she made certain mistakes during the preparation. But on her third attempt, she passed the preliminaries, the mains and the interview round.
While advising the UPSC aspirants, she said, “Wait a minute, it is not an easy procedure. Although it is a long and challenging procedure, everyone is in the same boat. It is important to have faith and confidence in yourself.” She concluded by saying that if candidates stay motivated, surround themselves with encouraging individuals and keep reminding themselves of the goal they have set for themselves, they will ace the exam.
