The result of Class 10 of Bihar State Examination Board (BSEB) was announced on March 31. Along with the result, the Minister of Education also announced the name and their ranks of the topper. This year, Ramayani Roy of Patel High School Daudnagar, Aurangabad, tops the BSEB matric exam 2022, taking first place after scoring 487 out of 500 points.
The topper told the media that while she expected good grades, she was not prepared to become the topper of the state. She says she thought she would score 490 out of 500, but might not become a state stopper.

She adds that after the results were announced, she was surprised. Ramayani dreams of becoming a journalist one day and wants to bring out the problems of the marginalized, as reported by News18 Hindi.
This year, the second position in class 10 has been taken by two students, Saniya Kumari and Vivek Kumar Thakur, while the third position has been taken by Pragya Kumari. Vivek who came in second wants to become an IAS officer, while Pragya Kumari from Aurangabad, a farmer’s daughter, wants to prepare for NEET.

The top five ranks are secured by eight students, while six to 10 ranks are secured by as many as 39 students. The top 10 ranks are awarded each year with cash prizes ranging from 1 lakh to 10000. Bihar Board awards Rs 1 lakh, a laptop and a Kindle e-book to the holder of the highest rank. The second tier holders will get Rs 75,000, a laptop and a kindle e-book reader, and the third tier will get Rs 50,000 and a laptop, each. Students who have obtained a grade between 4 and 10 will also be awarded Rs 10,000 each.
