The Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani has invited applications for its start-up incubation, ‘Conquest’. Startups from all sectors and industries are allowed to apply. More than 30 startups are selected to receive personalized training in the form of one-on-one session, and mentoring of more than 80 mentors in more than 250 sessions. Registrations are open until May 30 and are free.
An initiative of the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, BITS Pilani is the first student-run startup accelerator in India. “Once you have a prototype ready, Conquest helps you get the edge you need to optimize it. Conquest opens a gateway for established companies in their pre-funding phase to grow and scale their business,” reads the official website.

Some of the major industries that have joined the startup incubation in the past are deep tech, fintech, EV, agritech, healthcare, etc. Notable alumni include Tinkerbell Labs, Trell, SocialCops, ippo pay, Gamezop, etc . .
Based on parameters such as idea, team, USP, market and competition, Conquest shortlists 30 startups that begin their mentoring journey, characterized by one-on-one sessions with entrepreneurial experts across industries such as customer acquisition, product, growth, technology, fundraising, design and sales, and marketing, it claims.
The online mentoring program is for a period of six weeks. “Our Top 15 startups cross the boundaries of geography and time and will have the opportunity to receive online mentoring over a 6-week period. Each session revolves around a critical aspect of startup growth ranging from pitching, fundraising, building MVP, GTM strategy and finding a product-market fit,” the official website added.
The training process includes mentoring, fireside conversations, pitching, workshops and a demo day. After a rigorous selection process, the top 10 will be given the chance to pitch to the industry’s largest investment firms in Bangalore.
