The Central Examination Board Secondary Examination (CBSE) has announced the guidelines to be implemented during the class 10 and 12 exams of the Examination Board 2022. The practical exams will take place from today, March 2 and last until 10 days before the last exam of respective classes. The CBSE will conduct the theory board exams of the second semester for both classes from April 26.
CBSE 10th, 12th Practical Exams 2022: Guidelines
The students appearing for the exam will have to strictly follow the COVID-19 protocols. This includes wearing face masks, maintaining social distancing and carrying hand sanitizer. To avoid overcrowding and maintain social distancing, the board of directors proposed splitting the exam candidates into subgroups of 10 students each. With this, 10 students would attend the lab work, while others would complete the pen & paperwork.

To ensure a fair and good assessment, the CBSE has advised schools to invariably take the practical exams in two or three sessions per day if the number of candidates is more than 20.
The Examination Board does not appoint an external examiner for class 10 administrative practicals. While Class 12 lectures are held only in the presence of a CBSE-designated external examiner and a school-appointed internal examiner.
CBSE has also announced that there will be no separate practical exams for private students in both grades 10 and 12. Points will be awarded pro rata to private students based on grades obtained in theory exams administered by the board. . Private students of class 12 who failed their practical exam last year can participate in the practical exam 2021-2022.

According to the official guidelines, the marks for the practical exam, project or internal assessment must be uploaded by March 2. Upload of grades must be completed by the latest date of the respective classes. the board will not consider an extension of the dates mentioned.
