The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the results of the semester 1 exam for grades 10 and 12 soon. The results of both classes 10 and 12 are likely to be announced only a few days apart. However, the board has not yet released an official statement. The exams were completed in December. More than 30 lakh students are now eagerly awaiting the result of their semester 1. Once known, the results will be available at cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.nic.in.
The delay in the results can be due to several reasons, including changes in the evaluation process. Midway through the first semester exams, the board asked schools to stop checking student answer sheets the same day. Furthermore, several errors were noticed by students and teachers and there were reports of cheating in the exams by some of the schools. While there is no confirmation yet, CBSE would investigate all allegations before announcing the results.
