“My teacher told me the news about my result early in the morning. First off, I didn’t believe it, because this was my first time showing up for MCQ exams, so I was mentally prepared for any result. But to see a perfect score was amazing,” said 14-year-old Ayushi Jain of Amity International School, Sector 43 Gurgaon, Haryana.
Speaking about the new CBSE MCQ exam pattern, the CBSE class 10 term 1 topper said, “While we have always prepared for our subjective question exams, preparing for MCQ has been a new and exciting challenge.”
She added: “When preparing the subjective paper, you have to pay attention to the details, which we sometimes overlook.” Ayushi, whose favorite subject is math, said it was the support of her teachers that helped her to perform so well.
Another student from the same school who is also a classmate of Ayushi, Saachita Yadav also passed the exam. Speaking to News18, Saachika says today was a different morning for her as she has received numerous calls from friends, teachers and family congratulating her on her good scorecard.
The 15-year-old said: “Just before the semester 1 exam, there was a tragedy in my house, so preparing for the exam was a bit difficult because my parents couldn’t support me. That’s why they were very happy when we got to know my scores.”
An emotional Saachita says, “I saw my father cry with joy, and that was the happiest moment for me.”
About her preparation for school, she said: “Our teachers were there for us even at night to answer our doubts.”
The Central Council of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared class 10 results for semester 1 exams. The results are available from schools and will be available to students of their respective schools. Not a single student will fail the board exam this year. To check the result, students can use cbseresults.nic.in, digilocker.gov.in or results.gov.in to download CBSE term 1 result marker sheets as soon as they are available online.
