As the state universities all over India begin their evaluation process, it is very likely that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 12 exam results will also be out soon. To ensure that board students don’t end up at a disadvantage, CBSE will likely announce grade 12 results before grade 10. Most state boards have already announced their results, and now it’s time for the central board to to announce the same.
The board has already announced special provisions to ensure a fair and prompt evaluation. To check answer scripts, the CBSE has set up a large number of evaluation centers. The number of copies to be checked in per day has also been increased. The board had previously said it plans to involve more teachers in checking the answer sheets.

This year, the board is trying to announce the results faster. Compared to pre-pandemic times, the number of evaluation centers has increased. This year’s exams only had 50% of the syllabus and the written exams will be shorter than before. For each subject, the evaluation time will be limited or carried out within a certain time frame to ensure a timely review and calculation of the results.
CBSE will also appoint central nodal supervisors to oversee the functioning of centers, each of which will have a team consisting of lead examiner, additional lead examiner, coordinators and assessors.
Answer sheet sets will be color coded to ensure fairness. For example, color green can be a code for set 1 and coordinator green is responsible for checking this. Reviewers will recheck the copies after they have already been reviewed. This ensures that there are no errors or miscalculations and that they are corrected.

CBSE had held two board exams this year and the final result will include both semester 1 and semester 2 results. During semester 1, CBSE had stopped checking teachers on the same day midway through exams, after reports of cheating surfaced. Schools would have helped students with their papers. There were also reports of various errors in some of the questionnaires.
More than 15 lakh students took the class 12 exam results. Students have demanded that the final results be based on the ‘best of both terms’ or on the score of either term. They have also demanded more weight on internal review. According to the rules, three parameters will determine the final scores: internal assessment, result of term 1, result of term 2.
