More than 30 lakh students are waiting for their results of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) semester 1 exams. The board was previously expected to release the results on January 15, but CBSE sources told News18.com that the result will not be released today. In fact, it’s likely students will be able to check their scores next week. Once the result is out, the students can download scorecards from the official website – cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.gov.in.
The board had previously asked schools to check the answer keys the same day. Several schools later reported errors in the answer key and question paper. Not only was the review process stopped midway through the board on the same day, but the board will also perform the recheck process for questions where errors were expressed. For example, it is reportedly taking longer to evaluate the process of both the 10th and 12th grade exams.
In CBSE 10th and 12th semester 1 exams, there were many errors. From a sexist passage in class 10th exam to a question about violence in Gujarat in class 12. From spelling mistakes to giving answers without a question. At the time of exams, the board had said that before announcing the results, it will have the proper machinism to solve these problems.
Please note that the board will not announce the results of term 1 as pass or fail or essential repeat and the final CBSE result will be published after the term 2 exams are completed.
