The 27th edition of the CBSE Annual Sahodaya conference will take place from January 17-18. This year’s conference theme is ‘Punarnava – Rediscovering India @75’, celebrating 75 years of India’s independence.
The Sahodaya Samiti, Gwalior will host the event, which will be part of several programs organized by the Ministry of Education and its autonomous bodies to celebrate the iconic week of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The two-day virtual event will be launched in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Governor Mangubhai C. Patel, Subhas Sarkar, Minister of State, Ministry of Education, Anita Karwal, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, other dignitaries. More than 7,000 school leaders will participate virtually in the conference. The farewell sessions will be broadcast live on CBSE’s YouTube channel.

During the session, eminent speakers from different professions will share their expertise with the participants. More than
7,000 school leaders will attend this conference virtually.
There will be sessions on game-based learning, music as a teaching tool, combating climate change, the power of storytelling, the importance of archaeology, yoga for efficiency, mental health and the importance of sport in education. This conference will also discuss strategies for the effective
implementation NEP 2020.
“There will also be an e-exhibition on the students’ artwork during the conference. An e-souvenir featuring the best practices adopted by the schools to preserve the country’s heritage will be released during the conference,” the Central Board of Education said.
The idea of Sahodaya school complexes was first suggested by the Education Commission, 1966. It was the National Policy on Education, 1966 that reiterated in strong terms the need to promote school complexes to meet the quality of education. This set the tone for bringing the schools together and networking for healthy interaction, the release said.
