The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has released the 10th and 12th committee examination results today, May 14. Students who have taken the exams can access their results at cgbse.nic.in or result.cg.nic.in. A whopping 74.23 percent of the students passed the 10th grade exam and 79.30 percent passed the 12th. In class 10, a whopping 78.84 percent of girls passed the exam, while boys passed 69.07 percent. The pass rate of grade 12 is higher than grade 10. In grade 12, a total of 81.15 percent of the girls who appeared for the exams passed while 77.03 percent passed the exam.

According to the merit list released by CGBSE, for the SSC or 10th exam, Suman Patel of Mona Modern HS School Raigarh has surpassed the exam by scoring 592 out of 600 points or 98.67 percent. Suman shares first place with Sonali Bala of Govt HS School Gondahur Kanker, who also scored the same points.
Second place was taken by Ashifa Shah of Holy Cross HS School Kawardha, who scored 589 points or 98.17 percent. She shares the spot with Damini Verma, Jay Prakash Kashyap, Muskan Agrawal, Kahef Anjum and Kamlesh Sarkar. In the meantime, the third place has been taken by four students who received 588 or 98 percent.
For class 12, Ritesh Sahu from Balod district passed the exam. Ritesh’s father, born in Jhalmala village in the district, is a teacher at Jhalmala government school. He scored 95.60 percent or 478 points.
To check the grades, students must score at least 33 percent in each subject and in total to pass the board exam. According to the grading system, those who score between 100 and 91 points will receive grade A1, between 90 and 81 points, grade A2, between 80 and 71 points, grade B1, and within 70 to 61 points, grade B2. Furthermore, those who get between 60 and 51 points will be graded in grade C1, between 50 and 41 points, get between grade C2, within 40 to 33 points, grade D and those who get between 21 and 32 points will get additional exams and is placed in class E1.
CGBSE 10th, 12th Toppers of recent years
Last year, the board had adopted an all-pass policy, where students achieve the minimum number of points to pass. As a result, it has not published the merit list or toppers in 2021.
Pragya Kashyap from Mungeli district of Chhattisgarh had passed the 2020 CGBSE Class 10 exam. She had achieved a perfect score of 600 or 100 percent. While Prashansa Rajput finished in second place with a total of 99.33 percent. Bharti Yadav got 98.67 percent of the possible points.
In the 2019 CGBSE results, Nisha Patel came out on top with a score of 99.33 percent. Yogesh Sahu finished second with a score of 98 percent. Additionally, Tilak Jha came in third with a score of 97.83 percent.
Tikesh Vaishnav got 97.80 percent in the Class 12 exam in 2020 followed by Shreya Agrawal who got 97 percent. Tannu Yadav from Takahatpur in Bilaspur took third place with a score of 96.60 percent.
Yogendra Verma’s name topped the merit list in 2019. He achieved 97.40 percent in the exams. Devendra Sahu, on the other hand, came in second with 97 percent. Aditya Singh came in third with a score of 95.8 percent.
The board exams for class 10 and 12 ended on March 23 and March 30, respectively. In order to resolve student queries regarding outcome and future career, the Chhattisgarh Board has released a toll-free helpline. Students may call 18002334363 from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM to ask and answer any questions related to the board exams. The helpline will remain active until May 23.
