The 2023 board exams are in a few months. While several boards like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have released the detailed timetable of the 10th and 12th board exams, others including central boards like CBSE and CISCE are expected to release the date sheet this month.
Let’s see the state and central exam dates list here:
CBSE: The exams of the Central Council for Secondary Education (CBSE) will take place from 15 February. The board is expected to publish the datasheets for class 10 and 12 board exam 2023 this month. The exam will be held with 100 percent syllabus and will have more internal choices.
CISCE: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) exams will be held in February/March for the time being. The detailed date sheet is likely to be released in November. The 2023 CISCE board exams will be held for 80 points and 20 percent of the marks for internal assessments or practical exercises. The board has already released the sample papers.

Tamil Nadu: The exams of class 12 or HSC board in Tamil Nadu will start on March 13 and end on April 3. Class 10 or SSLC exams begin on April 6 and last until April 20. Meanwhile, class 11 starts on March 14 and ends on April 5. The practical exams for seniors start from February and last until the beginning of March. The 10th and 12th grade class schedule is made available online by the Government Examinations Directorate, Tamil Nadu, at dge.tn.gov.in. Each exam lasts three hours from 10am.
Uttar Pradesh: The UP board exams are held in February-March. A total of 58,78,448 students have registered for this year’s exams, including 31,16,458 students for class 10 and 27,50,871 for class 12 exams. The detailed date sheet is expected to be released soon.
Madhya Pradesh: The Madhya Pradesh or MPBSE Board Exams 2023 will be held in March. The timetable will be released soon for classes 10 and 12. The 10 and 12 practical exams only take place in February. Once out, the datesheet will be published at mpbse.nic.in. This time, more than 18 lakh candidates will appear in the Class 10th and 12th Board Examinations. The exams are conducted according to a complete syllabus.

Telangana: The TS SSC board exams 2023 will be held in the last week of March. The Government of Telangana has announced that the SSC or Class 10 Board Exams 2022 will be held for 6 papers, instead of 11 papers. Among the six papers are Telugu, English, Mathematics, General Science and Social Science. These have historically been performed as two papers. There was only one exam for Hindi subject.
karnataka: The Secondary Education Examination Board of Karnataka (KSEEB) will hold the SSLC exam from April 4 to April 15. The test is taken offline. It will run in two slots: one from 10:30 AM to 1:45 PM and the other from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka 2nd PUC 2023 Exams tentatively start on March 10 with Kannada subject and end on March 29 with Computing. The exam is taken in the morning and evening shifts. The morning session lasts from 10:15 AM to 1:30 PM.
Jharkhand: The Academic Council of Jharkhand is expected to hold class 10th and class 12th exams from March 4, 2023. The exam schedule will be released soon on the official website jac.jharkhand.gov.in. However, no official announcement has been made about this yet. In 2022, the board exams were held from March 24 to April 20 in two shifts. This year, however, the exams will be taken in one shift.
Maharashtra: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is expected to commence board examinations for class 10 of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and class 12 of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSE) in February and March 2023. The HSC exams start on February 21st and the SSC exams start on March 2nd.

Chhattisgarh: The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE), Raipur has announced that it will start the practical exams for classes 10 and 12 from March 10 and end on March 31. The students should note that those who are absent from the practical exams will not be allowed to be re-examined under any circumstances, the board said. The practicals take place in two shifts: in the morning from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the following afternoon shift from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
