Eastern Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has invited applications to fill 313 sirdar mining vacancies at its mines in Jharkhand and West Bengal. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the recruitment can apply online at eastcoal.gov.in by the last application date, March 10.
Coal India Recruitment 2022: Vacancies
Recruitment is subject to government reservation policy. So while 127 out of 313 posts are unconditional, 80 are reserved for OBC (NCL), 30 posts are for candidates in the EWS category. In addition, 46 and 23 seats are reserved for the SC and ST categories respectively.

Coal India Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: To be considered for the position of Mining Sirdar, the candidate must have Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board with a Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency from DGMS or a valid Gas Test Certificate and a valid First Aid Certificate. In addition, candidates with a diploma or diploma in Mining Engineering can also apply for the position.
Age Limit: Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 by February 20, 2022 to be eligible to apply. However, extra relaxation has been given to candidates who belong to the reserved categories.
Coal India Recruitment 2022: Steps to Apply
Step 1. Login to Eastern Coalfields official website
Step 2. On the home page, click on the link to apply for the Mining Sirdar post under the recruitment section.
Step 3. To start the application process, candidates must first register on the ECL portal with the required details and verify their email address and mobile number.
Step #4. Once that is done, log into the account and complete the application form.
Step 5. Attach the required documents (if any) and complete the payment of the fee before submitting the form.
Step 6. Keep a copy of the confirmation for future reference
Coal India Recruitment 2022: Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 1000 when completing the application form. However, women and candidates belonging to SC, ST and ex-servicemen categories are exempt from paying the application fee.

Coal India Recruitment 2022: Selection Process
The selection is based on a computer test followed by an Initial Medical Examination (IME) which also includes the document verification process.
Coal India Recruitment 2022: Salary
Shortlisted candidates are to submit an indemnity of Rs 1 lakh in a non-legal postage stamp paper for a minimum period of 3 years. Selected candidates are eligible for a salary of Rs 31852.56 per month for their services.
