The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 registrations have been reopened and the dates of the entrance test have been released. It starts on July 15. This is the first time to hold a centralized entrance examination for admission to all central universities and colleges across India. More than 9 lakh candidates have already registered for CUET 2022 and are counting.
As many as 86 universities will participate in this admission process, of which 43 are central universities, 13 state universities, 12 are considered universities and 18 are private. According to official data, candidates have applied to more than five universities on average. There are over 54,000 unique combinations of subjects chosen by different candidates. In the first part of the CUET 2022 registrations, the maximum number of candidates had applied for Delhi University, followed by BHU and Allahabad University.

CUET 2022: Exam Pattern
The National Testing Agency (NTA) holds the exam in a computer-based testing mode. It is the first time running CUET. It will be held for more than 300 undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It will consist of two parts – A and B. Part A will contain 25 multiple choice questions from English, numerical aptitude, data interpretation, analytical skills, reasoning and general awareness. Part B contains 75 questions from subject-specific topics.

The medium of the questionnaires will be English, except for the language courses. Candidates are required to pass a language test in one of 13 languages including Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Oriya and English. The duration of the exam is two hours. Four points are awarded for each correct answer and one point is deducted for each incorrect answer.
