Ankita Lothiya, a native of Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, has scored 100 percentile in the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET), which made its debut this year.
In the very first UG entrance exam, Ankita obtained full marks – 200/200 in three subjects including – English, Geography and Political Science. The 18-year-old also got 178 points or 97 percentile in history and 80 percentile in general studies.
Ankita has her eyes set on DU’s top three colleges — St Stephen’s College, Hindu, Lady Shri Ram College. “I want to study BA history or political science. In the future, I plan to sit for the UPSC civil services exam, and it would be a great help to get these courses,” she told News18.com.

Ankita took the CUET on July 15 and 19. Initial.
“After my 12th exams ended on June 10, I started my CUET preparations from June 15th. Since 30 percent of the syllabus was reduced in the 12th boards this time, I had to complete that part first for CUET. I started the preparations chapter by chapter. In the beginning, I completed the syllabus of term 1 and then started the syllabi of term 2. Before the exams, I studied 6-7 hours a day,” said the 18-year-old. She also took the Adda247 test series for history, political science and geography.
The daughter of a teacher at a government school, she was always a brilliant student during her school trip. She scored 93.67 percent in grade 10 and 95.2 percent in grade 12 with humanities (history, pol, geo, English, and physical education).
Although she originally planned to sit for the Rajasthan judiciary exam, she now wants to prepare for one of the country’s most competitive exams, UPSC, in her second year of college.
“I wanted to appear before RJS Judiciary, but was later motivated by some IAS officers, including Neha Srivastava, officer of the Indian Forest Service (IFS). So now my plan is to sit for government services,” she said. Her hobbies are drawing, reading books and cooking.
