The last date for payment of fees for admission into the undergraduate programs of the University of Delhi after the first round of seat allocation has been extended by one day to 25 October. Previously, the last date for online payment of the entrance fee was October 24.
In a notice, Delhi University Registrar Vikas Gupta said: “At the request of candidates, and in view of the Diwali festivities, the last date for the payment of fees by the candidates has been extended to 2 PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2022.”
The university has announced that candidates who have not paid the entrance fees on Tuesday will not be able to participate in subsequent rounds of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).
“Only the candidates who will pay the CSAS RoundI entrance fees will be given the option for the upgrade,” it said. More than 72,800 candidates out of 80,164 have accepted the college and the course assigned to them in the first round of Delhi University seat allocations, Registrar Vikas Gupta has said.
However, only about 24,000 have not filed their claims until 8 p.m. Saturday, he told PTI. Until last year, admissions were made through merit lists based on Class 12 marks, which saw sky-high cut-offs. In the past, the university published up to seven cut-off lists each year.
