The Defense Geoinformatics Research Establishment (DGRE) under the Defense Research and Development Organization, DRDO, has invited applications for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and research assistant apprenticeships. The recruitment takes place through a direct interview in offline mode. While one post is available for the post of research assistant, two posts are available for junior research fellowship for two posts.
According to the official notice, the duly completed application forms together with self-attested copies of marking sheets/certificates, certificates of experience must be sent by certified mail or express mail to the prescribed address. The last date for submission of the application form is 21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement on the official website.

DRDO Apprentice Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria
Research Assistant – Geology or Geoinformatics or Remote Sensing or equivalent degree or three years of research, teaching or design and development work experience after ME or MTech are eligible to apply for the positions. They must also have at least two research papers published in Science Citation Indexed Journal.
Junior Research Grant (JRF) – Applicants must have a Postgraduate Degree in Science with First Division in Remote Sensing or Geoinformatics with UGC NET or GATE. Alternatively, those who have a degree in remote sensing or geoinformatics and first division in MTech or ME can apply. Candidates who have passed BE or BTech in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with First Division and NET or GATE can apply. Those who have completed their Computer Science and ME and MTech First Division or MSc Computer Science First Division with NET/GATE pass are also eligible for the position.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for JRF is 28 years. For the candidates of the reserved category, they will receive relaxation in the upper age limit according to the rules.

Meanwhile, the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) under the DRDO has also invited applications from young and deserving Indian citizens, who wish to pursue defense-related research as a Research Associate and JRF in life sciences, chemistry, computer science, electronics and mechatronics.
