SIDBI and DSEU have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to encourage aspiring youth to promote entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship as a preferred career choice

Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) has partnered with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to expand “Mission Swavalamban” by venturing into entrepreneurial education for skilled youth and similar other initiatives to boost to entrepreneurship education.
SIDBI and DSEU have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to encourage aspiring youth to promote entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship as a preferred career choice. DSEU will develop curated courses and launch multiple initiatives in partnership with SIDBI to help and guide aspirants in learning the basics of entrepreneurship and starting their own micro-enterprises. The MoU was signed on May 31 at the DSEU campus in Delhi.
While through its experience in entrepreneurship promotion, SIDBI will facilitate credit connection and links with Enterprise Ecosystem, DSEU would provide tailor-made entrepreneurship courses to educated and aspiring youth to set up enterprises according to the market demand. DSEU will also provide handholding and mentorship to young people to start and scale their businesses.
On this occasion, Sivasubramanian Ramann, Chairman and General Manager of SIDBI, said: “We are poised to become an always highly entrepreneurial nation. To further strengthen the nation’s business ecosystem, Sidbi plans to team up with academic/specialized institutions/universities to take an entrepreneurship course leading to job creation. Converting childhood dreams into entrepreneurship will be the mainstay of such collaborations. This structured initiative will give an impulse to the entrepreneurial culture. We imagine that by taking such a focused course, a skilled individual who aspires to become an entrepreneur will gain practical experience for setting up a business.”
Prof Neharika Vohra, Vice Chancellor, Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University expressed his joy at the signing of the MoU with SIDBI, saying that “This partnership with SIDBI will lead to many innovative paradigms in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. We strive to work with the support of SIDBI to build processes and systems to enable young entrepreneurs, especially female entrepreneurs, to do business more easily in the city.The idea is to work on mindsets and construction firms instead of simply supporting them with a start-up fund .”
