A committee has been set up to handle complaints regarding the admission of students in colleges affiliated with Delhi University, officials said Friday.
The admission process for both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the University of Delhi was to start from October.
With this in mind, the admissions committee of student organization CYSS has been formed which includes senior professors and students of Delhi University.
Chandramani Dev, president of student organization CYSS, said the students can send complaints about admission problems via WhatsApp and also raise them by phone.
Several telephone numbers have been published where admission-related matters and problems can be discussed again. Some of the numbers listed are those of Prof Hansraj Suman – 9717114595; Prof Sangeeta Mittal — 9717586587; Sonu Chaudhary — 9905052529; Dhruv Gehlot — 8076378293; Ravi Pandey — 93195 49110; Sandeep Yadav -7982941393 etc.
The students can also share and report their problems via email. Moreover, the students can also express their concerns on WhatsApp number – 8588833485.
Hansraj Suman, chairman of the Delhi Teachers Association, has said that the students must complete their admission formalities from home.
“By staying at home, the students can fill out the admission form…in case there is any problem, they can get information on the phone numbers provided or via WhatsApp,” he said.
“If the students encounter any problem related to any certificate or caste certificate, or if any error occurs during admission, they should contact the college first and if their problem is not resolved, they can contact the numbers provided,” he added.
The professors included in this special committee have served in the Central Admissions Board, Complaints Board, SC, ST Admissions Board, SC, ST Cell Admissions Board, Admissions Board, etc. of the University of Delhi for the past three decades.
