The Employment Resources Department and District Planning Office recently organized a one-day employment fair in Buxar, Bihar. According to reports, candidates aged 18 to 35 were allowed to attend the fair. The labor camp lasted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the District Planning Office. Eligible candidates were selected by Zomato and several other leading companies. According to reports, this initiative was taken to promote skill development and improve employment opportunities among youth. Nearly 19 candidates were selected by Zomato as delivery partners, and the selection was made based on their personal data. Later, the candidates also appeared for an interview round and 19 candidates received their offer letters on the spot. YP Rohit Bharti of the District Planning Office stated that this job fair was organized under the Planner Aapke Dwar scheme and the process of the camp was free. There were a total of 59 vacancies in the camp and nearly 50 candidates applied for the positions. Of these, 19 candidates were selected for the position.
The authorities also organized an advisory session for various schemes related to employment, including self-employment, administered by government departments. The selected candidates will be allotted a distance of 100 km from their place of residence for delivery.
Anish Kumar Tiwari, district planning officer, stated that several companies organize and participate in such fairs to promote employment among the youth. The selected candidates will also get an opportunity to work in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
The offer letters have been received by the candidates, so they are aware of the company’s policies. They get a minimum salary of Rs 15,000 per month.
Earlier, a similar employment fair was held in Begusarai and Khagaria. Here Durvasa Ayurveda Limited offered vacancies as medical representative and area sales managers to youth candidates. This helps promote employment and self-dependence of young people. This will help eradicate not only unemployment, but also to some extent poverty and other major social problems.
