They say that if you put a lot of effort into achieving something, no one can stop you from achieving your goal. You just have to keep working hard in the right direction. When success finally comes after all the hard work, it feels incredibly sweet. K. Swaathi, also known as Swati, who cleared her PCS (Group I) exam and secured 8th rank, is a perfect example of this. She is now deputy collector.
Swati lives in Guruvanahalli, near Hindupur, in Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh. She has an M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Sri Venkateswara University. In 2017, she was selected for the position of sub-inspector. After completing her training, Swati, as part of the 2018 batch, started her career as a probationary sub-inspector in Tiruchanur. Later she was transferred to Gajulamandyam where she served as Station House Officer. Before her assignment in the Special Branch, she worked as a Sub-Inspector at Srikalahasti Police Station in two cities.
After securing 8th rank in the recent Group-I state level exams and being appointed as Deputy Collector, Swati was given a heartfelt farewell from Tirupati Police Station. At a special ceremony organized by the department, Superintendent of Police P. Parameshwar Reddy praised her performance and also requested her resignation. The event was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police Venkata Rao (Administration), J. Kulasekhar (Law & Order) and BH Vimala Kumari (Crime) and lauded her dedication and hard work.
In 2021, she took extended leave to prepare for the Group I exams, which she recently passed. Currently, Swati holds the post of trainee deputy collector in Guntur. She is married to Mahesh, who works as a software engineer and hails from Ongole.
