PORT 2023: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering – GATE 2023, is hosted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. The exam will take place on February 4th 5, 11 and 12, the IIT has informed in an official message.
GATE 2023 will be a computer-based test (CBT) and will be conducted in 29 subject areas with the choice of selecting two papers for some subjects. The online application portal will open for registration in the first week of September 2022.
The exam tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering, sciences, humanities, and social sciences. The candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher year of an undergraduate degree or has completed a government degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Sciences / Commerce / Arts is eligible.
those who qualify GATE is eligible for admission to engineering colleges including IITs and IISc Bangalore. Students can apply for both scholarships and jobs based on the GATE score. Candidates are eligible for master’s and direct doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and doctoral programs in relevant branches of arts and sciences. Furthermore, many public sector enterprises (PSUs) have used the GATE score in their hiring processes.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national examination jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee on behalf of National Coordination Council (NCB)-GATE, Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. GATE examination is a Computer Based Test (CBT).
It will be conducted jointly by IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. The exam is organized on behalf of the National Coordination Board-GATE (NCB) and the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
