The Indian Institute of Science Bangalore will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam 2024 this year. Registration for GATE 2024 started on August 30 and will end on September 29, as per the revised schedule. Additionally, candidates can register for late fees until October 13. Those who want to apply for the exam and are eligible to appear in GATE 2024 can visit the official website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
Notably, the exam for GATE 2024 is scheduled for February 3, 4, 10 and 11. Moreover, the GATE 2024 admit card will be rolled out for the students on January 3, 2024. will likely be unveiled on March 16, 2024.
GATE 2024: EXAM PATTERN
GATE 2024 will have 30 subjects with objective test papers and all papers will be in English. Candidates may take only one or two exam papers. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Selection Questions (MSQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions will be present in the question papers. Candidates are asked to choose the correct answer in MCQs from a total of four. While it is possible for one or more answers to be correct for MSQs, the answers for the NAT questions must be entered via a virtual keyboard.
PORT 2024: MARKING SCHEME
Negative marking will be given for the wrong answers and one third of the score will be deducted for 1 point MCQ in case of wrong answers. For an MCQ of 2 marks, a deduction of 2/3 marks will be made for the incorrect answer. In addition, no deduction will be made for incorrect MSQ and NAT answers.
