NSUI will organize a march from Gujarat University campus to the police station and demand the registration of the complaint against the unidentified goons.
Gujarat University students protested on campus on Tuesday against an attack by outsiders in the hostel area.
The students said a group of antisocial elements entered the university hostel campus late Monday night and damaged their vehicles. When the students tried to confront them, they were beaten with sticks and belts.
The students protested outside the university’s police station, demanding action against the crooks, who had entered the campus illegally.
The university police station officer said the students filed an application alleging criminals damaged and beat their vehicles. No official complaint had been filed against anyone, the officer added.
The students said that instead of making a complaint, the police asked them to write an application, claimed Bhavik Solanki, leader of the National Student Union of India.
The NSUI will organize a march from the Gujarat University campus to the police station to demand the registration of the complaint against the unidentified crooks.
He added that the students could not identify any of the goons and did not even know the reason and motive behind the attack. “Therefore, a police investigation into the case is necessary,” Solanki said.
