The Technical University of Himachal Pradesh (HPTU) has released the Common Admission Test (CET) dates for the academic year 2023-24 for admission into its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The admission test HPCET 2023 for the BTech, BPharmacy, MBA, MBA (tourism and hospitality management) and MCA programs will take place on May 14.
The BTech, BPharmacy and MCA HPCET 2023 exams will be conducted in the morning session on May 14, while the MBA and MBA (Tourism and Hotel Management) entrance tests will be conducted in the evening session. The notification also states that applicants must take the date of the entrance test into account in order to avoid any clashes at a later stage.
The application dates for HPCET 2023 will be released soon by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU). Since the date of the exam is set for May 14, the application process will most likely take place in the month of March or April. Candidates can go to himtu.ac.in, the official website of HPTU, to fill the application forms. All candidates selected must attend the counseling procedure.
HPCET 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Along with future announcements, the eligibility requirements for Himachal Pradesh CET 2023 will also be released. To participate in the HPCET 2023, candidates must have completed class 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized council or university. The HPCET 2023 eligibility requirements for admission to different programs differ, therefore applicants must verify the eligibility criteria before completing the application form.
HPCET 2023: Exam Pattern
The HPCET 2023 is a computer-based multiple choice test. Each correct answer is worth 2 points, while 0.5 points are deducted for each incorrect answer. The questionnaires for the BTech and BPharmacy programs will be the same. Candidates attempting Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are eligible for admission into B.Tech while candidates attempting Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible for admission into BPharmacy.
The exam lasts three hours, with 50 questions in each segment, for a total of 300 points. The MCA and MBA courses have a two-hour test with 100 questions and a total of 200 points. Verbal skills, numerical aptitude, data interpretation and reasoning are among the topics covered.
