Four students, including three girls and a boy student, jointly secured first place. All these students achieved 99.80% points each. This includes Hargun Kaur Matharu of St Mary’s School in Pune, Anika Gupta of Sheiling House School in Kanpur, Kanishka Mittal of City Montessori school, Kanpur Road, Lucknow, and Pushkar Tripathi of Jesus and Mary School and college Balrampur.
This is the final result announced by CISCE that includes both semester 1, semester 2 scores and student grades in internal assessment. Final grade lists of ICSE or grade 10 students will be available at cisce.org and results.cisce.org.
To pass the two-term exams, students had to take the exams together. This means that the pass or fail status is declared based on the final score and not per term. To pass, students need a total of 33 percent points. Last year, all students passed ICSE, that is, a 100 percent pass rate was recorded, while 99.93 percent of students enrolled in ISC managed to pass the exam.
After achieving the highest success rate ever of 100 percent last year. It is likely that the ICSE pass rate could drop this year. Last year’s students got their PhDs without exams and this year the exams were taken twice and both in different exam patterns.
For the first time in the history of the board, the CISCE has conducted two exams in one exam year. While the first semester exams were held in November-December 2021, the second semester exams were held in April-May 2022 for both class 10 and class 12.
