IDFC FIRST Bank announced scholarships for deserving students on Tuesday. The scholarship is open to first-year data science and analytics students from SVKM’s NMIMS (SOMASA).
As part of the scholarship, students are given a will to cover the annual expenses of students in the first year of their respective program. Furthermore, these students receive a stipend and are offered a pre-placement to work with the Bank’s Data Science & Analytics team, based on their performance during the internship. The internship lasts two months and can be extended for another four months, the bank’s press release reports.

The selection of students for the IDFC FIRST Bank Meritorious Student Scholarship is based on the first semester exam results, followed by face-to-face interviews. In the selection process, as much importance is attached to academic excellence as to the Bank’s internal evaluation.
