The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for fresh admissions and re-enrolments for July 2024 session. As per the notification, the last date to submit the form is August 14, 2024. This extension is applicable for all programmes offered in both Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online modes.
Interested students who want to re-enroll can visit the ODL portal at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in and the online portal at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in for the registration process. Students who want to re-enroll should visit ignou.samarth.edu.in.
IGNOU posted the following message on the micro-blogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter): “The extension of the last date for fresh admission in July 2024 and re-enrolment in July 2024 to August 14, 2024, in respect of all programmes offered in ODL/online mode.”

For new admissions, students interested in enrolling in Bachelor’s, Master’s, Diploma and Certificate programmes can apply through the designated ODL and online portals. For re-registration, existing students who need to re-register for the next semester or academic year can do so through the re-registration portal. This process is crucial to continue their studies without interruption.
IGNOU has also set up helplines and support centres to assist students with the admission and re-enrolment processes. For any queries, students can contact the university support team using the contact details provided on the respective portals.
