IGNOU offers free coaching for UPSC (Representational Image)

The Dr Ambedkar Center of Excellence (DACE) of the Indira Gandhi National Open University offers all Scheduled Caste students the opportunity to receive coaching for the Union Service Public Commission (UPSC) exam. IGNOU invites applications from interested candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste category for Civil Services Preparation. Candidates seeking coaching for the UPSC exam can apply until June 30.
Upon releasing the notification, IGNOU said the coaching will be available for both the prelims and the main exam. Candidates can refer to the official website of IGNOU, dace.ignouonline.ac.in, for more details and the link to the application form.

The university offers a total of 100 seats for the 2023 session. Of the 100 seats, 33 percent of the seats are reserved for women. The selection will be based on a Common Entrance Test (CET) to be conducted by IGNOU. The entrance examination will be based on general knowledge, language skills, reasoning ability and general aptitude. The exam will contain 100 objective questions.
Who can apply?
Those wishing to apply must have completed their graduation or be in the final year of undergraduate programs at a recognized university. Those who appear for their final exams will have to submit their declaration of pass at the start of the coaching lessons. Candidates should note that the scheme is for the Scheduled Caste students only and no other person can apply for the same.
IGNOU is not the only university to provide coaching for the UPSC Government Service Exam. Every year, Jamia Milia Islamia University invites applications from interested candidates belonging to each category to take coaching at the university in preparation for one of the toughest competitive exams in the country. The university selects candidates through a common admission test.
