CAT 2023: Originally scheduled to release on October 25, the admit card release has now been postponed to November 7
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow, has announced a delay in the release of the IIM CAT 2023 admit card. Originally scheduled for release on October 25, 2023, the ticket release has now been moved to November 7, 2023.
Once the admit card for the Common Entrance Test (CAT) becomes available, candidates can access and download it from the official website at iimcat.ac.in. “The Admit Card for the CAT 2023 examination will be made live on November 7, 2023. Use your user ID and password to log in and download the Admit card,” the message said.
CAT 2023 ADMIT CARD: HOW TO DOWNLOAD
Candidates must follow these steps to successfully download the CAT Admit Card 2023 once it is available:
Step 1: Visit the official website — iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Find and click on the Registered Candidate Login link on the web page.
Step 3: A new page will open on your screen.
Step 4: Enter your CAT login details, including your user ID and password.
Step 5: The CAT admit card will be displayed on the screen.
Step 6: Download the admit card, save it to your device and take a printout of it.
The CAT exam will be conducted in three shifts on November 26. The exam is divided into three parts: language skills and reading comprehension; data interpretation; local reasoning and quantitative ability. Candidates have 120 minutes to complete the exam, with 40 minutes allocated to each section.
All applicants are advised to carry one of the following valid photo IDs to the exam center in addition to the CAT Admit Card. The list of acceptable IDs includes: Aadhaar cards, Voter IDs, PAN cards, college or university ID cards, passports and driving licenses.
According to the official website, CAT 2023 will be administered in around 155 cities. When candidates filled out their applications, they were required to select six test cities in the order of their preference. For the application process, candidates falling under SC, ST and PwD categories had to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,200, while candidates from other categories had to pay Rs 2,400. Importantly, this compensation was a one-time payment regardless of the number of institutions they applied to.
CAT is required for admission to various IIM postgraduate and fellow/doctoral programs across the country. Other institutes listed as members may use CAT scores for admission.
