The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur has invited applications for the second batch of its one-year postgraduate certificate program in general management to provide a holistic understanding of management functions. The program has been developed for aspiring general managers to improve their management skills in a rapidly changing business environment.
Those who have completed a diploma, degree, or two-year master’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50 percent credit in a discipline, along with a minimum of two years of work experience, are eligible for the course.

The pedagogy includes lectures, case discussions, project work, theses, assignments, etc. The program includes an immersive session on campus with simulation and communication workshops (presentation) to enhance the learner’s experiences. Launched in partnership with Times Professional Learning (TPL), it will teach candidates to demonstrate skills through various simulation and communication workshops. It will meet challenges by learning future-proof management skills and building competencies in cross-functional areas.
The program will assist early-to-mid-career executives who wish to advance their careers and gain managerial skills to build capabilities to meet future challenges by integrating quality leadership and rapid decision-making. It improves skills for learners in various disciplines such as finance, economics, marketing, human resource management, operations and decision sciences, strategic management, among others, the institute says.
“The Post Graduate Certificate Program in General Management at IIM Kashipur will help students develop their business skills and build competencies to meet the ambitions and challenges of Industry 4.0. It will help managers become acquainted with new-age organizational practices, gain new skills and develop global leadership skills. It will create an industry-ready workforce that can innovate, take on challenges, communicate and have entrepreneurial skills, which will help diversify companies,” said Prof Atulan Guha, Associate Professor, Economics, and Program Coordinator, PGCGM, Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur.
