A second-year master’s student at the prestigious IIT Bombay is said to have committed suicide. The student jumped from the 7th floor of the campus building. Once the hostellers learned about the student, he was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
He jumped from the building at 4:30 a.m., according to police. The police also found a suicide note from the student room. According to the police, the student stated in his note that he was suffering from depression. Although he has not held anyone responsible for his death, the investigation is still ongoing.
