Registrations for IIT JAM 2024 were initially scheduled to close on October 20, but have now been extended to October 25
The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has extended the registration deadline for the IIT JAM 2024 exams. Registrations were initially due to close on October 20, but have now been extended until October 25. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and have not yet completed their IIT JAM 2024 registration and application process can do so by visiting the official website jam.iitm. .ac.in.
To register for the entrance tests, candidates must visit the official website and provide all the necessary information. Candidates cannot submit JAM 2024 applications until they complete the registration procedure. Furthermore, students should be aware that the online application form must be submitted along with the JAM 2024 application fee.
The IIT JAM 2024 is scheduled for February 11 and the admit cards will be issued on January 8. The test is aimed at students who are interested in pursuing an MSc, MTech or PhD degree from leading Indian universities such as IITs, NITs and ISCs. To be eligible for JAM 2024, candidates must have completed their UG studies or be in the final year of a bachelor’s program. Foreign citizens with degrees from Indian educational institutions are also allowed to apply.

IIT JAM 2024: APPLICATION FEE
For candidates in women, SC, ST and PwD categories, the JAM 2024 application fee for one paper has been fixed at Rs 900, while the fee for two papers is Rs 1250, according to the official brochure on the website. The application fee for applicants from the remaining categories is Rs 1800 for one paper and Rs 2500 for two papers.
IIT JAM 2024: SELECTION PROCESS
The JAM 2024 will be conducted via computer-based testing (CBT), with seven different test papers spread across two shifts. The first service for the subjects Chemistry, Geology and Mathematics is from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The second service, for papers on the topics of mathematical statistics, biotechnology, economics and physics, runs from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
