The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has now extended the date for submission of online applications for recruitment to the posts of Seaman (General Service), Seaman (Domestic Department) and Mechanical posts (Navik and Yantrik) in ICG. It has released a notification to populate 350 posts for this. The online applications started on September 8 and would end on September 22.
The authorities have decided to extend the deadline for submissions to September 27 until 5:30 p.m. Interested candidates can now apply for this recruitment drive if they have not done so previously. The applicants are advised to avoid last minute delays and submit the form on the official website of ICG – https://indiancoastguard.gov.in/. It is to be noted that only Indian male citizens can apply for this position.
The Indian Coast Guard has released 290 seats for Navik Post and 50 posts for Yantrik posts. The distribution of the vacancy is stated per department in the official message that ICG places on its website.

Step 2: Register yourself on the homepage by entering your basic contact details such as your contact number and email ID.
Step 3: Go to the application portal with your registered ID and password.

Applicants belonging to General category have to pay Rs 300 as application fee. The SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of registration fee. The selection will be based on an online examination and physical fitness test, followed by a medical examination and document verification.
The candidates must have passed Class 10 to be eligible for the post of Navik in the Home Department. While for the General Service Department of Navik post, the applicant must have passed Class 12 in Mathematics and Science from an education board recognized by the Council Boards For School Education (COBSE).
The candidates applying for Yantrik posts must have passed class 10 and 12 to be eligible for the posts. The minimum age at which candidates must appear for the recruitment drive is 18 years while the maximum age is 22 years.
