The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) has started online registrations to fill no fewer than 876 internship positions in various fields. Of the total, 276 seats are reserved for freshmen and 600 for Ex-ITI. The positions available include carpenter, mechanic, welder, machinist, electrician and painter. Those who wish to apply and be eligible can register through the official website, pb.icf.gov.in. The deadline to apply for the positions is July 26.
The candidates are selected based on their grades achieved in class 10. The internship also gives the candidates the opportunity to earn monthly stipends. Freshmen who are only class 10 passouts will receive Rs 6,000 and freshmen who are class 12 passouts will be awarded Rs 7,000. Meanwhile, ex-ITIs who have national or state certificate will also receive Rs 7,000.

ICF Chennai Stage 2022: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: A newer candidate must have achieved Class 10 with a minimum of 50 percent aggregated grades. An Ex-ITI candidate must have passed Class 10 with a minimum of 50 percentage points and hold a National Trade Certificate in Notified Trade, issued by NCVT, SCVT.
Age Limit: The age of a candidate must be between 15 and 24 years from 26 July. The age limit has been relaxed by 3 years for the OBC category candidates, 5 years for SC, ST candidates and 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Step 1: Go to the official ICF website
Step 2: Look for the ‘Apply for Act Apprentice’ link and click on it.
Step 3: Now fill the application form, pay the fee and hit the submit button.
Step 4: Once you are done, print out the form for future reference.

Candidates from non-reserved categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100 (plus service charges, if applicable). Candidates from SC, ST, PwBD and women categories are exempt from paying the application fee.

“It should be noted that the selection and training will be in strict accordance with the provisions of the Apprentice Act, 1961 and NO EMPLOYMENT IS GUARANTEED TO THE STUDENTS AFTER COMPLETION OF THEIR TRAINING. The selected candidates must abide by the rules and regulations established by the administration from time to time,” the official message reads.
